The Lux Helsinki illuminates the old historical buildings of the city with many colors

Finally we got snow to Helsinki. Besides we got colors and light when the 9th annual Lux Helsinki festival started. Around the Senate Square in the middle of the city Lux Helsinki illuminates the historical buildings.
In Kruununhaka you'll find beatifully illuminated quarters.

The courtyard of the University of Helsinki’s Topelia building and the courtyard of the National Library are at use of light art.  The focal point of the festival is  Helsinki Cathedral, which is illuminated on all four sides.

The Lux Helsinki will take place until Monday 9 January daily between 5pm and 10pm.
The Lux Helsinki light festival is organised by the City of Helsinki. The event is coordinated by Producer Emma Lumme and produced by Sun Effects Oy. The artistic directors of the festival are Ilkka Paloniemi and Matti Jykylä.
